Micro Fibers 1000

DESCRIPTION

Micro Fibers 1000 is a micro-fine manufactured high-tensile polyethylene fiber used as a general thickener for American WeatherStar Acrylics, Urethane, and Silicone.

ADVANTAGES

AWS MF 1000 allows you to greatly increase viscosity and filling ability of the coating at an economical price. The product allows a higher viscosity and excellent vertical hold for a variety of applications.
The unique nature of AWS MF 1000 fiber configuration allows excellent melding to acrylics, urethane, and silicone without allowing slipping. Adding AWS MF 1000 also creates a smooth easy-to-apply material.
Retains elastic properties; adds tensile strength.
Will not decompose.
Easily mixes in with hand tools.

BASIC USES

AWS MF 1000 can be used to thicken Acrylics, Urethane, and Silicone into brush-able mastics. Thicker materials allow for fabrication of cants or filling around irregular surfaces.

Excellent for flashing details, metal roof seams, inside and outside flashing details, round stacks, pipe legs, pitch pots, conduit pipes, expansion joints, etc.

INSTALLATION

Mix AWS MF 1000 with coating using hand tools at a ratio of 20% - 50% by volume until desired thickness is achieved.

WARNING:

This product may be mixed with coating which contains flammable solvents, and is designed for professional installation. Caution should be exercised to prevent mishap due to improper handling. The use of an appropriate MESA/NIOSH approved respirator during application is important. We also recommend the use of fabric coveralls and neoprene or other resistant gloves. Installers should use caution during spray processes to avoid falls caused by slipping on wet primer. Installers should read and understand all technical and informational literature on this product, including the Material Safety Data Sheet, prior to using this product.

WARRANTY

American WeatherStar warrants that the material supplied will meet or exceed physical properties as published. The contractor guarantees that workmanship will be free of defects in coating application. Since performance of previously installed substrate is beyond the control of American WeatherStar or the contractor, requests for additional warranty coverage shall be subject to prior approval by American WeatherStar.

MAINTENANCE

Periodic maintenance of all American WeatherStar products, including cleaning, will ensure extended service life and maintain reflectivity.
